Crimson Maple Farm Lambs
Our lambs are born in spring, like nature suggests. We have a mix of Rideau, Texel, North Country Cheviot and Charlois Sheep. Once the ewes are bonded with their lambs they go out to pasture for the season.

Grass Fed Lamb
Crimson Maple Farm’s sheep are outside grazing with their lambs 24/7. There are 8 permanent grazing paddocks on the farm as well as temporary paddocks that we use. Meaning that they have fresh grass as their main source of food. The sheep is 100% grass fed which means they do not get any concentrated feed.

Processing Lamb Meat
Our lamb is processed at Yankee Flats Meat in Salmon Arm. In 2024 it will be processed at the end of September. Yankee Flats Meat is a provincial inspected abattoir . We sell 1/2 and whole lambs, the cost is $ 11 per pound at hanging weight. The average Crimson Maple Farm lamb will be approx. 40 lbs hanging weight.
